Mason County WA: 35th district legislators Representative Dan Griffey R- Allyn, Representative Drew MacEwen R- Union, and Senator Tim Sheldon, D- Potlatch jointly announce their candidacies for reelection.
Senator Tim Sheldon is the legislature’s longest serving member. “Most importantly I am part of a successful delegation that has delivered effective representation for all of Mason County and parts of Kitsap and Thurston Counties. Working across party lines with Dan and Drew has been a real privilege “he said.
The 35th district delegation has protected the taxpayers while securing important capital and transportation projects like the Highway 3 three Freight Corridor, North Mason boys and girls club and other projects across the 35th district.
Representative MacEwen, who was recently elected by his caucus as Deputy Floor Leader said “Working with Tim and Dan has been a great example of bipartisan cooperation. What we have accomplished for the district is a testament to working together for the common good”.
Representative Griffey who is an Assistant Whip, stated “Working together as a team ensures all voices are heard. We are in the business of building on good ideas and making them stronger. It is the best way to move solid legislation forward”.
The Senator and Representatives will host a joint campaign kick off on May 29that Salish Cliffs Golf Course beginning at 5:30 PM. The event is co-sponsored by Washington Shellfish Growers, WA Timber industry, and the Squaxin Tribe. The event is open to the public.
Sheldon closed by saying, “I am looking forward to another productive term in Olympia working with my House members and all the other elected officials, stakeholders and citizens in our district. “
