Senator Jim Honeyford - 15th Legislative District

Serving our state since 1994, Jim Honeyford serves as the 15th legislative district of Washington, including Eastern Yakima County, Sunnyside and Grandview. Prior to serving in the Senate, Honeyford served as the 15th LD in the State House of Representatives.

During Senator Honeyfords’s 28 years serving the 15th Legislative District, he has fought for government transparency, small businesses and individual rights.

Just a few of his notable awards include the Washington Coalition for Open Government Key Award, Association of Washington Business Cornerstone award and the Champions of Free Enterprise Award. He also was honored with the Alumni of the year award from Central Washington University college of sciences in 2014.

Senator Honeyford was born in Ontario, Oregon but moved to Sunnyside in 1956. He and his wife, Jerri are parents to four grown children.
