Whidbey Island Hosted Lunch!

Whidbey Island Hosted Lunch!

Join Artie and Sue Buerk for lunch at the Useless Bay Golf & Country Club on August 9th for lunch and presentations from some of Washington’s top minds!

Featuring Senate Republican Leader John Braun, Dan Mead Smith, Kaitlin Vintertun, Kevin Carns, Mike Gallagher, Rep Greg Gilday, and Karen Lesetmoe.

We hope you can attend this special, multi-organization event to learn about the key issues facing our state, give input and have your voice heard during this key year of 2022!

  • Washington has a multi-billion dollar surplus of state tax revenue on top of the state’s rapidly increasing and unstainable state budget. Where will this “excess” state tax revenue go?

  • At the same time new taxes are being implemented and more are being introduced: New capital gains income tax, one of the highest estate/death taxes in the country, and new property tax increases being proposed across the state.

  • State and local educators have been given incredible budget increases for schools at the same time student test scores are falling especially for minority, low-income students.

  • School choice is offering parents new education options in over 30 states but not here in Washington. At the same time public charter schools that are having success with inner-city students are under attack by the teachers union and a majority of state legislators and the governor.

  • And all of this is on top of other key issues facing our state this year including: Increasing crime and homelessness with less money going toward police/public safety.

Come hear from these speakers who have proven, common-sense ideas on how to solve these and other issues, and learn how new leaders can represent your voice in Olympia. If you attend one event this summer, make it this one as it will cover the entire spectrum of what is needed to bring balance to our state!
