Senator Keith Wagoner - 39th Legislative District
Keith Wagoner was elected as Senator of the 39th legislative district in 2018 after a childhood in Alger, Washington. He currently serves as Ranking Republican on the Behavioral Health Subcommittee and is a member of the Law & Justice Committee as well as the Ways & Means Committee.
Although he holds the 39th legislative district close to his heart, Senator Wagoner has seen much of the world and has gained additional knowledge of how to effectively support a variety of groups. After attending the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, he was a naval aviator for 23 years and is now a retired U.S. Navy Commander.
Senator Wagoner met his wife Wen when he was stationed in Sicily, Okinawa, and a number of other duty stations. The two made their way back to Skagit County and Wagoner was then appointed as mayor of Sedro-Wooley.
Now in the legislature, Wagoner prioritizes diverse communities, aiming to address the opioid epidemic, provide resources to mental health facilities, support veterans, promote and protect our 2nd amendment, and find solutions to the housing shortage.
