Senator Perry Dozier - 16th Legislative District
Perry Dozier is in his first term as Senator and proudly represents the 16th district in southeast Washington. Currently, he is a Ranking Member of the Senate Business, Financial Services, & Trade Committee, a member of the Early Learning & K-12 Education Committee, and a member of the Human Services, Reentry, & Rehabilitation Committee.
A lifelong resident of the 16th district, Senator Dozier knows the ins and outs of his community and strives to make change in agriculture, education, and small businesses. This has become increasingly important since the pandemic and the challenges our economy faces as a result.
Prior to his experience in the legislature, he attended Prescott High School and Whitman College in the 16th district. From 2009-2016, he served as Walla Walla County Commissioner, District 2, and was a former chairman of the board.
Senator Dozier became a licensed pilot and an owner and operator of dryland and farm operations in the region and has been for over 35 years. With his wife Darleen, he is a member of the Presbyterian Church of Walla Walla, the Northwest Grain Growers, and numerous other community organizations that provided him with abundant political experience.
