Ryika Hooshangi - 45th Legislative District
Ryika Hooshangi is a Sammamish attorney, community leader, and Sammamish Plateau Water District Board President.
She began her policy and legal career in Washington, D.C., where she worked as an attorney and diplomat for the U.S. State Department. As a Brookings Fellow, she worked as counsel and foreign policy adviser in the U.S. Senate.
Ryika is an award-winning president of her local PTSA, has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Washington Evans School of Public Policy, and speaks Farsi, Arabic, and French.
She earned a law degree from the Catholic University of America and a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University. She lives in Sammamish with her husband and two children.
